Discover The Guide Gear Wall Tent Floor

Normally when you get a tent you need to realize they are going to come from a floor. However, some companies have decided that you still need to have the authentic feel of roughing it with your canvas tents, mainly, and not have a floor at all. This can easily present a problem as you will be left trying to stay dry if it rains, not have bugs crawling on you, but also have to figure out what you are going to do to keep out of the mud if it had just finished raining before you arrived. With that being the case, Guide Gear came up with the solution and that is the Guide Gear Wall Tent that we are going to review here now.

Features Of The Guide Gear Wall Tent

This is a water resistant floor that you can put down on the ground. This is mainly meant for the Guide Gear Wall tent, but it can be adapted to some of the other tents on the market as well, but it is great for you to be able to put this down and know that you will not have water coming up through the ground to get at your sleeping bag or other items when you are trying to lay down and sleep.

The floor is made from 100% heavy duty PVC, which is going to make it a lot easier for you to know this construction will last you for a long time. Then you will not have to worry about your tent getting damaged or even worse have to be concerned about the tent not working for your needs. Without this, you could have some problems in getting the tent and know that it is going to last you for longer than a season.

With this being water resistant you do not have to be as concerned about your gear getting soaking wet. Face it when you are camping in a tent the chance of rain and your gear getting wet is a real one. With this floor it will help prevent this from happening and this makes it easier for you to use the floor and know your gear will be properly protected from damage.

How Much Does This Floor Weigh?

With this being made from 100% PVC you need to realize the weight is going to be an issue at times for people. With that being said, this is a floor that comes in at just 19 pounds. So it is heavy, but it will be easier for you to get down on the ground and know it will stay in place.

How Easy Is The Tent Floor To Fold Up?

A common problem is folding the floor up and getting it back into the item you want to move it with. So you will find rolling up the floor and then folding it when you are home may work, but you may also find that folding it can be easier if you treat it a lot like a tarp would be folded and this way you are able to get the tent floor folded up very easily and put away quickly.

Who Would The Guide Gear Wall Tent Floor Be Perfect For?

This would be floor that would be perfect for people that have a canvas wall tent, but also the Guide Gear Wall Tent. When you get this tent floor it fits perfectly for the tent it was made to go along with. So this will make it quite a bit easier for you to get the tent floor and know it will actually function in the way you want it to, instead of having to worry about it not working right.

Who Would Not Like This Tent Floor?

This floor would not work out really well for the people that already have a floor on their tent or they want to have a different tent they cannot adapt this to. However, if you have one of the tents that are made by Guide Gear, then you may want to consider the floor if you need to have one.

Our Final Thoughts On The Guide Gear Wall Tent Floor

This is a floor for a tent, their is not much more that we can say about it. If you need a floor for your tent, then you may want to consider this one as it is very durable. However, if you already have a tent that has a floor like the Coleman tents or the Browning tents, then this may not work for you. Overall, though, this is a product that does fulfill a need as not all tents will have a floor and the ones that do may not have a durable floor that can take a lot of abuse. Good product if you need a floor, but make sure you need the floor first before you buy.
