Discover The LevelOne Collapsible Silicone Camping Kettle Today

Camping is often a time when you give up some of your normal comforts for the beauty of nature and the chance to be out and away from everything that would create your normal headache. One thing that I know that we cannot give up is our morning cup of tea and coffee. So a kettle or coffee percolator is one of those items we have to get and bring with us on every camping trip or we are making multiple trips to town, ruining the camping groove to get the drinks we need to have. With that in mind, we have decided it was time for us to share some information and do a review of the LevelOne Collapsible Silicone Camping Kettle so you can use a kettle that works great and provides you with everything you need to have.

Features Of The LevelOne Collapsible Silicone Camping Kettle

When you are camping you know you do not have a lot of storage space like you would have at home. Since this is the case, you tend to have to get stuff that can collapse down and can be stored collapsed. That is what you get here as this is a kettle that can be collapsed down almost completely flat and because it is made from silicone it will not wear out right away on you while you are trying to get the work done on the storage aspect, but also can be fit into a hiking backpack as well.

Now you may be asking if this is mainly made from silicone how can it be heated up? Well, the quick and easy answer is the base is made from aluminum. So the base, which is what gets heated up anyways can be heated up and it will be able to generate the heat to the rest of the kettle. Then you do not have to be concerned about the kettle not working for what you need, but also know it is going to have some type of rigid protection when being heated and stored.

With this kettle you may be asking yourself if it is going to be large enough to make a pot of coffee? Well, the answer is not really. However, it is large enough that it can make about four cups of coffee before you are going to have to refill the kettle with more water and reheat it.

Can The Silicone Collapsible Kettle Be Used Over A Fire?

The answer is a dramatic NO! This is a kettle that has a very small base and silicone, which is almost like rubber type of sides. With this being the case using it over an open flame would lead to the silicone melting and ruining your kettle. However, if you have a [popup_product]Coleman Camp Stove[/popup_product], this will work great over the burners as long as the flame is not wider than the base of the kettle. If it is wider you can still have the issue of the kettle sides melting.

How Big Is The Aluminum Base Of The Silicone Collapsible Kettle?

Well, we already burst some peoples bubble with the fact this cannot be used on an open fire, but that it needs to be used on a camp stove. Now the next question is how big is the diameter of the bottom of the kettle. The kettle is roughly 5 to 5.5 inches around on the bottom, which is the side of the burner that you would need to have as well. Thankfully this is easy to find with the camp stoves and means you can get the kettle and use it for your water and tea.

Our Final Thoughts On The LevelOne Collapsible Silicone Camping Kettle

Camping is something that we love to do because it allows us to get away from the stresses commonly found with daily life However, these stresses can be back while camping if we do not get our coffee or tea in the morning. Not all campers have a great kettle that you can use and this often means finding one you can use outside of the ones you may get that you brought with you. Since this is the case, you will like the fact the LevelOne company has collapsible silicone kettles that can be used outdoors. We love this kettle and love it can collapse down, but the one aspect we do not like is you cannot use this over an open fire, like a camp fire, or it will melt the sides. If you are hiking the chances of having a camp stove are not high. So for that we are going to give this a decent mark, but if you are hiking you may want to consider a kettle that has hard walls.
