Introducing The Mountain Trails South Bend 4 Person Tent

Mountain Trails is a company that has come out with quite a bit of quality products and they are definitely a company that you are going to like because it is going to allow you to get a product that works great. However, what you need to realize is they are also a company that seems to size their products quite a bit better than what some of the other companies do. That is what we have found with the Mountain Trails South Bend 4 Person Tent that we are reviewing here today.

Features Of The Mountain Trails South Bend 4 Person Tent

This is a tent that allows you to have quite a bit of square footage. The tent is not the perfect square like the 3 person Mountain Trails Twin Peaks tent, but it is more of a rectangle type of shape. This allows it to have a little bit more in square footage as it will allow you to have 63 square feet total and it is going to measure 9 foot by 7 foot.  What else is nice is the tent is going to come in at 52 inches tall in the center of the tent.

The tent is going to use the fiberglass framed shock cord poles that are going to use a pin and ring system. This system is going to make it easier for you to get the tent set up quickly, but with the shock cords it will also make it easier for you to take the tent down when you are getting ready to go out for the day and find your next campsite.

You will also find this is a tent that is going to have a fold label that is going to make it easier for you to get the tent put up and this will allow you to know where to put the elastic bands to secure the tent. Then you can easily get the tent put up and know you will not have to be concerned about the tent coming undone on you or even worse getting lost when you are trying to get it stored away.

Does The Tent Have A Carry Bag?

This is a common question because the description does not really say. However, what you need to realize is this tent has an integrated flap that will serve as the carry sack. So this will be the type of carrying sack that you are going to get with the tent as it does not have a true carry sack. It does have a couple of bands that are going to wrap around the tent to help keep it in shape.

Can The Tent Withstand A Heavy Rain?

While the tent does come with a rain fly you will find that it is going to have some difficulty in getting the heavy rain off of the tent. However, what you need to realize is this tent is great in the mild rains, but like most of the tents on the market they will find that it is going to be very difficult for the tent to withstand a heavy rain. The rain fly will help with this as well because it is going to help you in getting the protection you need, but still you should treat the tent with a good sealer for the seams on the tent.

Will The Tent Still Breathe With The Rain Fly On?

When you are using a rain fly you will often notice it has a tendency to cover some of the tents windows that you are going to need to have for your air flow. However, this is a tent that the rain fly is going to cover some of the windows, but you will find it also has a little bit of a pop up that the air flow is still going to happen, just not as good as what you would expect to get.

Our Final Thoughts On The Mountain Trails South Bend Tent

Finding a tent that is comfortable for four people is a challenge. However, Mountain Trails definitely gives it a good chance with this tent they have here in the South Bend. The tent is rated for 4 people and at 63 square feet it is going to allow you to have some space to move around in at least. Now this is not to say that 4 adults would fit comfortably in the tent, but it does make it easier for everyone in the family to go camping and know they are going to be comfortable in the tent.
