Camping in Europe is definitely a great way to get to see the beautiful area and enjoy the quiet that is seen away from the major areas like Paris. However, what else the campgrounds are is an amazing way to connect with the people who live in these same cities you are avoiding as they have a tendency to come camping to get away from everything. The other thing that I really like about this is Europe has a lot of coastline that will allow you to explore the beaches that are around here. With that being said, we have went out and tried to help narrow down what we feel are the best beach campgrounds in Europe, most of them will be along the Mediterranean, but some will not. We also will have an honorable mention list and will try to provide some detail on these campgrounds as well. With that being said, let us start to explore the 5 best beach campgrounds in Europe.

1.  Camping Ametlla – Spain

Camping Ametll is a location that is situated just right for your camping adventure. The place has some great views that you are sure to love. The camping section of this is rather small compared to what you may be used to, definitely a lot smaller if you have been going to American campgrounds for a long period of time. This campground does have some great options when it comes to lodging as well as it does have plenty of bungalows for you to enjoy. As far as a beach it does have one that is close by, but you will find that it can be very easy to reach at times and the pool is a great option if you want to avoid swimming in the water. What else is great about the location is it does have a grocery store that is 3 km away, which is not that far to go for food. On the negative side you will find that the WiFi is not free unless you are staying for more than 10 days and this can really add to your cost.

2. Camping Free Beach – Italy 

Camping Free Beach is a location that is definitely up and coming as far as the camping you can do. You may have never thought about this aspect before, but when you are looking for a great Italian campground being right on the beach to sleep may not be the best option. That is what is going to make Camping Free Beach such a great option. It does have easy access to the beaches that are around the area, but is not hovering over the beach. At the same time, if you want to go swimming and do not feel like walking down to the beach you may enjoy the fact that you are able to simply walk to the pools that are on the grounds here.

3. Ouzouni Beach Campground – Greece

Ouzouni Beach Campground in Greece definitely gave the first two campgrounds a run for the money as we have found this one to be one of the best campgrounds that you can find in the area. Located in the beautiful area of Greece and with property directly on the beach, you cannot go wrong here. If you do not want to camp in your own items you will love the fact that you are able to get a suite here and enjoy camping in what is already available to you.  What else is nice is the amount of shade you get for each spot, which means the heat you will have to deal with is not going to be as bad as what you would expect in some of the other campgrounds.

4. Ocean Pitch Campsite – England

The Ocean Pitch Campsite is one you are going to like being in England. The place has some of the best beaches that you can find, but it is also a place that you are going to find as being one that can be difficult to get to as well because it is set off from the normal flow that you would find in England. The best part is this is a campsite that is going to allow you to have a lot of the seclusion you would want to have and even have a chance to go out and look at the different beaches that are in the area. A problem you may have is this is a campground in England so you may not have a chance to go out and enjoy the water as much as you would at a campground in Spain or Greece, but it is one that has a huge relaxation factor you may have never thought about before.

5. Flower Camping Le Rompval – France

This is a campground in France and made out list of Coastal Campgrounds in France as well so it is fitting that it would make this list as well. This location is one that has a lot of the comforts you would expect to have, but it is also going to have a lot of access to the beach as well. The best part is this is a campground that has a heated indoor pool which is nice because the weather around here can be fairly unpredictable at times. So you will like the fact that you can find the things that are around here and it is very easy to relax here. The downside is you will want to bring a bike or your car with you as you will find it can be a little bit of a distance to get into town.
