Pros

When you are looking at this sleeping bag, even the image makes it look big and bulky. However, one of the main compliments that I was reading out of all the reviews on Amazon was the fact that this sleeping bag is ultra light. In fact, from what I have seen when comparing a lot of the mummy sleeping bags this is one of the lightest bags around at this price. The weight is reported to be 2.2 pounds.

With the hood of this sleeping bag you will find that it does have a cinch down that allows you to tighten down the hood. As it was reported in one review, if this is not done the hood has a little bit of an extra flap to it so it will flap around on your head and this can get very annoying when you are trying to sleep and your hood keeps hitting you.

Nothing is worse than waking up in the morning at your campsite to find out that your sleeping bag has come unzipped on you in the night. However, Aektiv thought about this and decided to make that a little bit more difficult by putting a little strip of Velcro down around the zipper top so it will snug down on the zipper and keep it from coming unzipped.

Cons

As we mentioned in the quick take box, that we are not able to really discover any of the cons that are associated with this sleeping bag. We even dug down into the manufacturers page and did not really see anything that we did not like. As much as we would like to mention something, the only point that we can find is that if you do not cinch down the mummy flap, it is easy for the flap to start to blow in the wind and that can get very annoying and keep you up. However, if you do cinch it down, a lot of people reported the sleeping bag is great to use.

Our Final Take

When you are looking for a decent mummy sleeping bag you will often be shocked at the price. I mean I have literally seen some of the gear running over 200 bucks for a bag that has as many features as you can find here. The weight of this bag may be slightly heavy for some people as it is at a hair over 2 pounds, for the causal camper or hiker this weight is not that bad. Not only that with the temperature rating to 35 degrees, you can see this is a bag that will allow you to stay warm as well. Either way, this is a great sleeping bag and one that will keep you warm well into the cooler temperatures of fall. Without this, you could end up having a horrible camping experience because you get cold or wet. Overall, this is a great sleeping bag and one that will make it easier for you to enjoy your camping trip.
