Find About The Guide Gear 6 Person Speed Dome Tent

Guide Gear is one of those companies that you are going to like because they have quite a few pieces of equipment on the market, but it definitely has a lot of tents that we have covered here lately. This is a tent that is completely different than what you are used to seeing, from Guide Gear, because it is not the teepee style of tent, but it also is not going to be the kind that fits in the back of your truck. With that being the case, we are going to do a Guide Gear 6 Person Tent Speed Dome Tent Review today.

Features Of The Guide Gear 6 Person Speed Dome Tent

Speed which this tent brags to go up with is going to be a major plus. That is very true because the tent will not take you a long time to get up. So this makes it easier for you to rush the tent up, but you need to realize the speed portion is not mentioning how many people it took to get the tent set up and ready so this is definitely a thing you need to consider.

When you are looking at the covering on the tent you will notice that it is made from  190T polyester with 600mm PU weatherproof coating. So this will make it easier for you to know the tent is going to have a good chance of keeping the weather off of you, but you may notice that it could be very difficult for you to get the weather proofing done properly and as always we do recommend using a sealer on the tent seals.

The tent does include the guide ropes, a zip storage bag, and a D style door that will make it easier for you to get the tent stowed away and get into the tent. With the D Style door it will make it quite a bit easier for you to get the entrance into the tent very easily done.

Does This Tent Weigh A Lot?

The tent is one that you are going to find to be a little bit on the heavy side if you are planning on using this on a trail. The tent actually weighs only 11.5 pounds, which is not that bad for a lot of the tents that you will be looking for on the trail. However, if you want to get some of the tents that are trail rated then you could pay a fortune for the tent.

Will This Tent Really Fit 6 People?

The tent is going to be a little cramped for 6 people, but that is part of the camping life. However, we are going to find the tent is only measuring at a size of 10×9. So this will make it easier for you to get a good idea on how many people it will fit comfortably. For me, I like the extra space and do not like having to climb over everyone in the tent, but that is a lot based off of my preference.

Our Final Thoughts On The Guide Gear 6 Person Speed Dome Tent

Okay, this is a tent that we like, but we are not really in love with. The Guide Gear company does have quite a few different things that we do like in the teepee tent and the truck tent. However, this is a tent that we feel is a very good tent and it is going to be great for some people. For us, we want more space in the tent and that is why we tend to go bigger in the tents that we are shopping for.
