Coleman Crescent Extreme Sleeping BagSleep comfortably even when it’s 15° F (-9.44° C) outside in the CrescentTM Mummy Sleeping Bag. It’s designed to keep users warm from top to bottom. The semi-sculpted hood surrounds your head to keep warm. A special quilting construction eliminates potential cold spots. The full-length draft tube blocks heat loss through the zipper and a box-shaped foot gives you extra room to move your feet. If the weather unexpectedly warms up, open up the two-way, no snag zipper from the bottom or the top for ventilation. When you’re done, it’s easy to put it away in the stuff sack. A camping trip without the proper gear is difficult to do. However, what people need to realize is finding the best sleeping bag is very difficult to do. This is when you should know a little bit of information about all of the sleeping bags that are on the market. One of those sleeping bags that you need to consider comes from Coleman, which is a well-known camping gear company. The exact model of the sleeping bag we are talking about in this case is going to be the Coleman Crescent Extreme Sleeping bag, which makes it easier for you to have a good nights rest while you are camping even in the worst of conditions.

Features Of The Coleman Crescent Extreme

  • For temperatures 15° F to 35° F (-9.44° C to 1.67° C)
  • Designed for heights up to 6 ft. 2 in. (1.88 m)
  • Polyester cover and lining
  • Box-shaped foot for added room to move
  • Semi-sculpted hood helps lock in heat

How Is The Foot Of The Sleeping Bag In Place

The foot style for the sleeping bag is the box style. This style is going to make it easier for you to get the foot space you need to have, but also makes it easier for you to have the proper movement area for your feet. The downside is this is the box space while giving you extra foot space, does create a negative space that can provide space for cold air. On the plus side, the sleeping bag does have plenty of insulation, which will help keep your feet warm, but also provide extra padding as well.

How Does The Coleman Crescent Extreme Keep Out Drafts?

This is a great question because their are so many sleeping bags on the market that are rated for winter camping, but it ends up once the winter breeze starts coming through that it is nearly impossible to stay warm. I know this can be a pain and in some cases leads to you freezing yourself to death all night long. The Coleman Crescent Extreme is one that does help keep a lot of the colder drafts out of the sleeping bag by having insulated draft tubes that keep the cold air at bay. Now, this does not mean it will keep out all of the air, but it does help in getting the air warmed up before it does reach you with the insulation factor.

Secret Pockets Make It Easy To Hide Items In The Coleman Crescent Extreme

In most sleeping bags you cannot really hide any of your belongings, like your wallet, watch, or even a checkbook. This generally means they are shoved down at the foot of the sleeping bag or left laying right next to your head all night. Then you have to worry about your feet opening up the items at night, but also it being stolen while you are sleeping. The Coleman Crescent Extreme addresses this problem and actually makes it a lot easier for you to be able to avoid this issue as they have a secret pocket in the sleeping bag. While the pocket is nice, it does not completely prevent thieves, but it will be right next to your body and that will help in keeping you alert to what is going on with the valuable you have inside of the pocket.

Our Final Thoughts On The Coleman Crescent Extreme

Okay, I have to say if you can find the Coleman Crescent Extreme it is a decent sleeping bag and definitely one that is very comfortable. However, the reason why I had to mention if you can find the sleeping bag is most of the stores we have seen this model at have been sold out. Not to mention, when we have asked the stores when the model would be back in stock, they generally do not know and are unsure if they will ever get the Coleman Crescent Extreme back in stock. If you can find it, though, I recommend hopping on it as it is a very comfortable sleeping bag and one that will provide you the protection you need for at least 3 seasons of camping.
