5.11 All Hazards Nitro Backpack

Finding the best backpack for hiking is going to be a challenge that you will want to take seriously. However, what you will also want to know is which one of the different backpacks that are meant for hiking or camping will work best for your needs. With this being the case, we decided to continue looking at the backpacks that are meant for camping gear and let you know if this is going to work for your needs or not. In this instance, we are going to talk about the 5.11 All Hazards Nitro Backpack. So you will start to learn about this backpack and see if it will have everything that you need to have in the backpack or if you should consider a different pack for your specific needs.

Features Of The 5.11 All Hazards Nitro Backpack

  • The main compartment of this backpack is fairly large as it will have 1768 cubic inches of room for your gear that you are going to be bringing with you. This is usually enough space to allow you to have all of your gear stored and ready to be taken out at any point in time during your trip.
  • With this backpack it is going to be made from 100% Nylon. This will make it easier for you to get the backpack and know you are able to get the pack moving around and know it will suit your needs and not really going to be causing you any problems when you are using it.
  • The backpack does have the three web surface area and this will make it easier for you to find the backpack, but also know the webbing is going to make it easier for you to get the backpack and know it will be working for what you want it to do and know it will help you out in getting the reflection you may need or even the extra type of storage.

What I Like About The Backpack

Has Different Pass-Through Slots For Longer Items

Well, I hate to say this part, but when you are doing any type of long hiking you may have a hiking pole with you, may have some longer gear or if you are using this for rescue work have the poles to a stretcher that you have to carry. With this product it is going to have all the pass-through slots you would need to have to get the backpack to work for this gear and keep it moving along for your needs.

Main Compartment Can Open To 180 Degrees

Now, when you are looking at a lot of the backpacks you will notice they do not really open up that well and if you want to fully open them forget it! However, this is a bag that will open up to 180 degrees for the main compartment. So you will be able to get almost full access to the main pocket and this makes it easier to get everything you need stowed away.

Easily Fits Most Adults

This is a great feature because if you are taller or smaller you will know that it is nearly impossible to find a backpack that you can use for hiking that is going to fit you right. With this pack, because of the way it is shaped and the color of it, it will fit onto your back fairly well and this makes it easier for you to have a great backpack for your next hiking trip.

What I Dislike With The Hiking Backpack

Not Really Meant For Overnight Hiking

This is a major issue that I have with this backpack. Yes, you can do overnight hiking in this pack and I am sure it will work for this in a pinch. However, at the same time you will find it is not really meant for this type of work. So this is going to be the major issue that I have found with this backpack that you may have to overcome because it could easily be a problem you have to deal with as well.

My Final Thoughts On The 5.11 All Hazards Nitro Backpack

Now, I have to say this is a great backpack if you are going to be making shorter trips. The straps are nice and padded, but overall it is meant more of like an emergency type of response bag and not one for you to live out of while you are hiking. If you are looking for it with that purpose in mind then you will be getting a great bag. However, if you are looking for a long range hiking bag for your tent, sleeping bag, and your other camping gear I would have to give the 5.11 All Hazards Nitro Backpack a pass.
