I have to admit one of the things I have to get for the day to start right is coffee, but camping it is hard to find a good camping coffee pot. With that being the case, I have found that it can be a challenge to find the right coffee pot to bring out on the road or in this case the trail with me to go camping. This is why I have done quite a bit of research to look for some of the best camping coffee pots on the market. One of those that we have found is the DoCooler portable camping coffee pot and that is definitely what we are going to be talking about here because it is important to have a good way to make your day off to a good start. Since that is the case and not a lot of these are on the market compared to kettles or percolators we have decided it was time to do our review of the DoCooler Portable Camping Coffee Pot.

Why A Portable Coffee Pot Over A Percolator

When you are camping you want to keep your life as simple as possible. With a percolator, it is nice and fairly easy to use, but you need to realize if you have never used these before they can be very difficult to use at times. Since this is the case, you will want to make sure you know about the fact you can use these and they are easy to use. However, if you are not used t them you may have to get readjusted to using the coffee percolator again or get used to chewing your coffee in the morning. With the portable coffee pot, it will be a great way for you to make the coffee in the morning in a way that you may be more familiar with than what you could be facing. Yes, you do have to learn some ways to make it work, but it is definitely easier than what you would imagine.

Features Of The DoCooler Portable Camping Coffee Pot

• This is a coffee pot that you are going to love because it is going to make it easier for you to have the coffee in the bottom, which means the grounds will go to the bottom and instead of getting into your cups.
• The coffee you get here is going to be mainly in the 2 cup range. However, this is generally going to be enough for you to get the morning started and will make it easier for you to get the day going right because when you are camping you do not want to drink too much or you could end up having to go to the restroom quite a bit.
• The split design you are going to have with this camping coffee pot will make it quite a bit easier for you to get the storage you want to have, but it will also make it easier for you to get the item put together rather quickly. To make it even better you will enjoy the safety factor of the pressure sensitive releasing valve, which makes it easier for you to use.
• When you look at this you may enjoy the fact the materials used in the manufacture of this product is the hard anodized aluminum. This will help make it easier for you to use this product and know you will not have to be overly concerned about it not working for your needs for a long period of time.

What I Like About The Camping Coffee Pot

What I really like is this is a coffee pot that is going to make 2 cups of coffee at a time. While this may not seem like a lot, you need to remember you are camping. If you have too much coffee you could easily end up like me and have some issues where you have to go the bathroom. This is going to make it rather nice to have this type of limit which is going to make it easier for you to avoid over drinking the coffee.

The compact size is definitely something else that I really like about this. While it is not nearly as small as some of the camping kettles we have talked about, it is going to be small enough that it will not take up a ton of space inside of your camper or tent. What is really nice is if you do feel that it is taking up to much room you can easily break it down and have it put into two separate pieces to ensure you are going to have plenty of storage space.

I really like the fact this is going to allow the coffee to be in the bottom half and instead of having to pour the coffee out you get it up to your cup with the plate. This will give you a kind of a drip type of effect on your camp coffee, but it does also mean you will have to play the tilt game if the coffee starts to get to low and you want to get the last drop out.

What I Did Not Like WIth The DoCooler Portable Camping Coffee Pot

The pour spout is something that I do like, but at the same time, I hate. The reason I hate it is when you completely break this down you have the little pour spout that is going to be the main feature you can use. However, the pour spout you will notice is it is smaller and that makes it a little bit easier to get lost in the shuffle. So you have to make sure you know where you are going to put this or you could end up losing the pour spout rather easily.

My Final Thoughts On The Portable Camping Coffee Pot

This is a unique design and I definitely have to say out of all the coffee pots that I have looked at is one of the few that has some of the pour spouts you can see with some of the other items. Since this is the case, I do have to say it is definitely something you will enjoy, but at the same time, you will have to make sure you get it screwed together properly or it could end up leaking on you. Overall, though, I do have to say I really like this coffee pot and it is definitely something that is unique for you to use on your campsite, just remember this is the DoCooler portable camping coffee pot.
