How Many Straps Does This Backpack Have

While you may think that a lot of the backpacks are going to have just the basic straps, if you have hiked at all it is going to be a pain to have just a few straps. With the backpack hereyou will find that it is going to make it easier as it does have the sternum strap that can help adjust some of the weight up to your chest, but also has the hip straps that will make it easier for you to adjust some of the weight to your hips as well.

Does This Backpack Have A Hydration Pack Option

Now, this is a backpack that you are going to find to be very nice because it does have the hydration ports. It actually has 2 hose ports with 1 on each side of the backpack. A key thing to note is the reservoir is not included for this backpack, but it is an option that you can get added in and know it will actually help you in getting the best backpack possible. You will lose some of your storage space for the bladder though.

How Much Does The Bag Weigh And Can It Hold

Well, I have to say the weight of this bag and capacity will vary depending on which one of the bags you are going to buy. If you buy the larger bag it will hold 4900 cubic inches, but it weighs 5 pounds 5 ounces. The smaller bag will hold 3950 cubic inches, but it weighs only 4 pounds and 13 ounces. So it is going to be easier for you to handle, but it does not hold nearly as much as what you would think it should.

Is The Backpack Waterproof?

A great question that you are going to want to get answered is if the backpack is waterproof and the good news is this is a backpack that is treated to be waterproof. However, if you are like me and want to hike in almost anything you would want to go ahead and buy the optional rain cover or even find a rain cover that you can find separate.

What Do I Like About This Backpack

I love the fact this backpack is very nice and durable. This is going to make it easier for you to carry all of your backpacking gear with you, but also know you are going to have a chance to get the gear that is going to actually work for your needs. What else I love about the backpack is the fact that it is very easy for me to get the pack adjusted to the point it is comfortable.

The amount of storage is another thing that really stood out to me with this backpack. Yes, it is only 3950 for the smaller pack, but that is still quite a bit of storage if you think about it. So you do get a lot of storage space for a smaller pack, but if you are able to get the larger pack you have quite a bit more storage room at 4900 cubic inches, which really helps out in getting the proper amount of storage.

What else I enjoy is the way the backpack fits me. This durable type of fit is one that I really love because it makes it easier for me to continue to hike with the backpack and know it will actually work for what I am using it for. At the same time, though, with the perfect fit system it does make it quite a bit easier to get the pack adjusted to the level that it is comfortable for me and going to help me in getting the comfort that I want to have.

What I Did Not Care For With The Coyote Backpack

I know that the backpack has the slide through pocket for your tent poles and such. However, I found this pocket to get annoying at times and for me it never failed that I would never balance it right and even with it staying in place for most of the trip the items would always start to work their way out and that is a pain when they do this because it means that everything is going to fall or be off balance in your pack.

My Final Thoughts On The Kelty Coyote Backpack

I have to say if you are looking for a decent backpack that is going to provide you with a decent amount of storage and enough comfort for you to hike most of the day, then you cannot really go wrong here. This is a great backpack and easily one of the best that you can buy and use. However, you will notice they dohave two different sizes, which can make it a challenge to find the one to buy and use, but I have to say you ne to make sure you find the one that is meant for your size or you could have some major issues with the backpack fitting you. Overall, though, I will say the Kelty Coyote Backpack is a great backpack for hiking or a nice addition to your camping gear.
